SAT is a uniform test, extensively used for college entrance examination board in the United States of America. It was started by the College Board back in the year 1926. SAT has witnessed many changes in its name and the scoring pattern. Originally called the Scholastic Aptitude Test, it was later renamed as the Scholastic Assessment Test. In the later years, it was called as SAT REASONING TEST, but now simply called as SAT. If you are applying for some selective college, you may need to submit SAT subject tests score at least for two subjects.

SAT is fully developed, owned, published, and is a registered trademark of the College Board, which is a private and non-profit organization, situated in the United States.

It is monitored on behalf of the College Board by the ETS, or Educational Testing Service. SAT operates with the intention to assess the student’s preparation for college.

SAT subject test dates India

The official SAT head office publishes an annual calendar to make the students aware of the SAT subject test dates and the registration deadline.

The Test, in most of the cases, is scheduled on Saturdays. The fall season generally witnesses a greater proportion of tests in the calendar.

In most of the cases, it is very difficult to sit for two SAT tests in a row, if the result for the first
comes out below par.

SAT exam tests for 2018-19

Exam deadline 11:59 pm eastern time. The test dates and deadlines are as follows:

August 25, 2018- U.S. History, Literature, Mathematics level 1, World History, Mathematics Level 2,
Biology E/M, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, French
Registration Deadline- July 27, 2018

October 6, 2018- Literature, Mathematics Level 1, U.S. History, Mathematics Level 2, Biology E/M, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, French
Registration Deadline- September 7, 2018

A guide on the Chemistry SAT test

The topic comes first, then, the percentage of the test is in brackets:

Structure of Matter (25%), States of Matter (16%), Reaction Types (14%), Stoichiometry (14%),

Descriptive Chemistry (12%), Lab Practices (8%), Thermo-chemistry (6%), Equilibrium and Reaction Rates (5%).

If the candidate is applying to a selective college, he or she will probably need to submit from at least two SAT Subject Tests. The student should not walk unprepared for what the applicant is about to face.

Since these exams bring into line with a subject rather than a grade level, the candidate doesn’t have to wait until the junior year to take one.

For applicants from India, the SAT fee comes around $106, where the applicant will be provided with written essays, or $94, where the applicant doesn’t get written essay.

In Indian Rupees, the SAT exam fee will be around 6200-7000 INR. Apart from the general SAT, one can sit for the subject SAT test differently.

This is useful under certain circumstances. The fee for the subject SATs is around $111. The importance of the subject tests is gradually diminishing in general.

It measures the student’s knowledge of the basic principles of the subject. It also checks the ability to use varied concepts from the subjects to solve specific problems.

If the candidate is interested in pursuing Technology, Science, Engineering, or Math in the College, applying for SAT may help you to stand out in the college admission paper.

There are in total 17 SAT physics Practice tests, which includes 2 full-length exams. At the end of each test, the student should review his or her wrong answers to see whether if there are any missed out clues.

Making a note at the end of each point to comprehend is also advised.
